Internal production brief
Short training video plan
内部制作说明
短培训视频计划
Record only the workflows people need to perform correctly. Keep each video focused, captioned, and paired with its written guide; show one safe demo outcome, not every possible exception.
Production standard
- Use a 1600 × 900 browser window, current production-like UI, approved demo personas, and English UI unless a separate Chinese recording is scheduled.
- Prepare before recording: select the required role and campus before the capture starts. Do not show login or campus switching in the video; for a cross-role account-linking workflow, a final switch to the newly activated Parent profile may be shown after the link is confirmed. Begin on the first working screen with a short caption such as “Teacher · East Campus.”
- Make every action teachable: highlight the exact link, button, field, checkbox, or select control; pause long enough for the viewer to identify it; then click or select it once. Scroll deliberately to the relevant record instead of jumping directly to an edit screen.
- Show each save completely: pause after entry, highlight the Save/Publish button, wait for the success state, then reload or revisit the record and point to the persisted value. Do not rush between clicks, selections, and confirmation.
- Use a clean browser profile and hide bookmarks, email, browser sync, and notifications. Add captions and a short “What to do if this is different” closing line.
- Never capture passwords, MFA prompts, OAuth details, secrets, personal student data, payment card data, invoice/payment identifiers, or production records. Prefer safe demo records; re-record rather than blur whenever possible.
Fourteen launch videos
| Video | Length | Script beats | Success state |
|---|---|---|---|
| Teacher: take attendance | 2 min | Confirm Teacher/course → open today’s lesson → verify date and roster → mark attendance → save → mention edit-window lock. | Saved attendance is visible for the correct demo course/date. |
| Teacher: record lesson and scores | 2–3 min | Open assigned course → add/update lesson activity → open assessment → enter one demo score → save → point to grade review. | Lesson activity and demo score appear in the assigned course. |
| Teacher: update lesson and add homework | 2–3 min | Start ready as Teacher → open the assigned course → scroll to an existing lesson and edit/save its details → add a parent-visible activity → create and publish homework for that lesson → open and save the grade formula → reload each saved record. | The changed lesson, activity, homework, and grade formula are visible in the assigned course. Teachers update existing lessons; Staff manages lesson and calendar scheduling. |
| Staff: new registration | 3 min | Confirm Staff/campus → search first to avoid duplicate → enter demo family/student details → choose course → review → submit → verify result. | Reviewed demo registration reaches its expected enrollment/invoice state. |
| Staff / Teacher / Principal: link Parent access | 1–2 min | Start with an existing account that has no Parent profile → open Profile → Add parent profile → match the fictional family and enrolled student → confirm → complete the training confirmation → switch to Parent → verify the linked student. | The same account has a linked Parent profile and the Parent dashboard shows the intended fictional student; no second login is created. |
| Staff: add, transfer, or drop | 3 min | Find demo student → name the three choices and when to use each → perform one safe example → review course/fee effects → submit. | Expected enrollment change is visible; viewer knows to stop for uncertain billing/placement. |
| Principal: approve a teacher | 2 min | Open approval queue → verify demo applicant and campus → approve or reject with reason → explain that approval changes access, not course assignment. | Queue/status reflects the decision; assignment follow-up is clear. |
| Principal: calendar review and Staff draft | 1–2 min | Principal confirms the approval boundary → switch the capture account to Staff · East Campus → create and save a demo calendar draft → reload the planning view. | The saved draft is visible and the role boundary is clear: Staff drafts; Principal approves. |
| Parent: request a course | 2 min | Confirm Parent/student → find the course request path → choose one safe demo course → review the student and request details → submit → explain that Staff confirms placement. | A demo course request is submitted for the intended student without implying enrollment is final. |
| Parent: report an absence | 1–2 min | Confirm Parent/student → open Report Absence → select the correct course/date → enter the minimum needed reason → submit → explain when to contact Staff instead. | A safe demo absence is submitted for the intended student, course, and date. |
| Parent: review enrollment and assignment | 1–2 min | Confirm Parent/student → open the student’s current enrollment → open Volunteering → review the family’s saved classroom-help assignment. | The current enrollment and saved family assignment are visible for review. |
| Staff: create volunteer events and roster | 1–2 min | Confirm Staff/campus → create a fictional Volunteer Series → save as Draft → approve it → generate open events → open the public signup page. | The newly saved Series, generated events, and public signup page are visible in the isolated Sunshine tenant. |
| Teacher: assign classroom help | 1–2 min | Confirm Teacher/course → open Fair Family Assignment → return to Manual volunteer assignment → select one fictional family → save → reload the roster. | The saved classroom-help assignment is visible for the assigned course. |
| Parent: volunteer sign-up | 1–2 min | Confirm Parent/family → open a prepared classroom-help opportunity → submit the fictional family signup → return to the volunteer dashboard. | The saved signup or waitlist result is visible on the family dashboard. |
Capture preparation and review
- Create or reset only the needed demo state: one assigned teacher course, an attendance/lesson date, a pending teacher approval, a pending calendar, a safe family/student, a non-sensitive demo invoice, and one safe volunteer program with a pre-approved ONBOARDING-DEMO Series, pre-generated future event, assigned classroom helper, capacity/future-occurrence example, fair-assignment example, and waitlist example. Generate Signup Events only after the Series is approved; use a separately reset-safe approval state if that gate must be demonstrated.
- Have a second school owner verify each recording against the current UI and permission boundary before publishing.
- Export each reviewed recording as
.webmwith matching.vttcaptions, a descriptive filename, and a visible “Demo data” note. Recheck every frame before upload and link the final video from the matching guide.
Do not record payment setup: use the written Principal guidance and a finance-approved live walkthrough instead. It can expose accounts or settings that do not belong in general training.
